My counseling approach
I am comfortable working with a variety of ages and backgrounds. I have worked in the mental health field for over 13 years in various capacities, including both direct and supervisory work. My focus has been on children, young adults, and families with extensive trauma. I holistically approach client's concerns with goals that center around your personal definition of successful treatment. As a counselor and counselor educator, my teaching philosophy is to create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for individuals to explore and develop their own approach to situations.
I have a PhD in Health Psychology, so I often approach treatment with a focus on healing the mind and body.
